Boats that operate illegally, cut cost by putting you at risk.
That does not represent a good value in diving.
Boats that operate with different "captains" every month
may only have two or three dive sites to offer, or may
leave you "swwimming a mile" to get to the dive.
Liveaboard trips are the best way to dive Southern California,
and the best way to enjoy a liveaboard dive trip is on a boat
that does a lot of liveaboard trips. There is a reason that
just three or four operators do the majority of the
multiple day liveaboard trips. Be sure you are
on the right boat, and get a real value.
